Picking a shingle line and color
Each manufacturer offers several shingle lines at different price points. The step up from a standard architectural shingle usually buys a heavier shingle, more color depth and a longer warranty.
Seeing a full-size sample against your own siding and trim, in daylight, tells you far more than a small chip or a photo on a screen.

Which shingle brands do you install?

What is the difference between three-tab and architectural shingles?
Three-tab shingles are a single flat layer. Architectural shingles are thicker and layered, so they look more dimensional, stand up better to wind and usually carry a longer warranty.
Do designer shingles cost much more than standard architectural shingles?
They cost more, because they are heavier and more detailed, often made to imitate slate or cedar. Whether the step up is worth it depends on the house and the look you want, and we can price both.
What warranty comes with a new shingle roof?
